LANSCAPE N.1 is the first of a series of Landscapes that explore the notion of landscape in relation to the Western conception of nature and natural. How these geopolitical concepts, are found on the periphery of what we consider, as artificial structures or designed by the Human. How are these concepts simulated, to arrive at an aesthetic vision of the landscape and the territory?

Landscape N.1, consists in 2 cubic light boxes. Each cube’s side is made of a one-way-mirror. Inside the cubes an iron bar suspends a volcanic rock. On the lower side of the cubes there is a diffusion glass, underneath it, LED lights. The LED lights allow the one-way-mirrors transparency, revealing the suspended rocks inside the cube. The installation needs as much darkness as possible, in order to reveal the glass effect of the mirrors.
